MYOPIA CONTROL

Welcome to our Myopia (Nearsightedness) Control Clinic!

We offer clinically-proven, non-surgical treatment options to help children with their eyesight. There are two FDA-approved contact lens options: Paragon CRT and MiSight, both of which we fit at our clinic. Our goal is to help the next generation of young bright minds see better.

There is a myopia epidemic, especially given how children are using their eyes with so much reading and computer use here in Silicon Valley. Besides having to deal with thicker glasses or stronger contacts, there are serious, sight-threatening consequences from progressive myopia like retinal detachments, glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.

Studies have shown that taking breaks and spending time outdoors helps slow down the progression of myopia. However, some patients need more help and that is what we are here for.

If you are being referred by your optometrist, we enjoy partnering with your optometrist so that we can provide a team-based approach and better understand your complete eye history.

Please request your optometrist to use our online referral form or fax over our printable form.

We will be gradually resuming routine and preventative care on Monday, 5/11!

TREATMENT OPTIONS

Child with Contact Lens

PARAGON CRT

(NIGHTTIME CONTACTS)

Wearing your specifically designed contacts at night means you can see during the day without glasses or contacts. This gives absolute freedom with sports, especially swimming.

Contact Lens Solution

This option is more comfortable and you just wear special contact lenses during the day to see. These contacts work wonderfully if you prefer not to wear glasses during the day.

Long Lashes

ATROPINE EYE DROPS

If you prefer wearing your glasses, then this alternative is great for you. All you have to do is instill eye drops before bedtime and the side effects are minimal.
